Why did you choose Surfy?

I first encountered Surfy four years ago during a webinar hosted by IDET, and I found the solution intriguing. It addressed the challenges I faced in my previous role managing successive office rearrangements. Without a dedicated tool, using AUTOCAD and Excel simultaneously made the task laborious and time-consuming. Surfy is easy to use and specifically designed for workplace layout and staff allocation issues. The surface area calculations are automated. To ensure Surfy met Egis's needs, we wanted to see how it worked in practice at a client's site. Seeing the tool presented by professionals in similar roles, free from commercial spiel, convinced us. This is an approach I highly recommend and greatly appreciated with Surfy.

Which aspects of Surfy do you find most useful in carrying out your duties?

Egis in France chose Surfy to address two main needs: finding available spaces for our staff (handled by our site managers) and recharging costs. The automatic calculation of the occupancy ratio is a real time-saver. This allows us to recharge building costs to each entity based on occupied square metres. From a financial perspective, when costs rise, the ability to visualise floor plans helps us quickly understand changes in space usage. Thus, recharging is easily justified.

What do you most appreciate about the partnership with Surfy?

Surfy's developers are on a learning curve, listening to their clients to evolve the product according to their needs and expectations. They take customer feedback to improve the solution, ensuring everyone benefits from continuous updates. Clients effectively contribute to R&D, gaining a more efficient tool without extra cost. Surfy evolves for us and thanks to us. This is how the idea for the booking feature emerged, as Surfy already had the necessary data: plans, personnel, and locations. We truly feel like we are working together. The Surfy team is also very pleasant and available for our training needs.
